According to Nancy Cox, director of the flu division at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta H1N1 vaccinations may commence in the first week of October after a single dose has found been found to produce immunity in 8-10 days. HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius is confident there will be enough vaccine available and also says that it will be available earlier than expected. The first shipments will be allocated to priority groups which include children and pregnant women.
