환 자 : I have a toothache. I could not sleep well last night. 치아가 아파서요. 어제 밤에 잠을 제대로 잘 수 없었습니다.
치과의사 : How long has it been bothering you? 얼마 동안 고통스러웠습니까?
환 자 : For the past 3 days and it gets worse when I eat. 최근 3일간 아팠고 식사 시 더 아픕니다.
치과의사 : OK, let"s take a look. Just relax and open your mouth for me, please. There"s some inflammation around your wisdom tooth. Does this hurt? 네, 한번 살펴볼까요. 마음을 편하게 하시고 입을 벌려 주십시오. 사랑니 주위에 약간 염증이 있습니다. 이렇게 하면 아픕니까?
환 자 : Yes, it does. It hurts a lot. 네 아픕니다. 아주 아파요.
치과의사 : Ok. let"s take an x-ray and see what"s going on. 네, 방사선 촬영해 봐서 무엇이 문제인지 알아봅시다.
치과의사 : Mr. Smith. I have examined your x-ray. Your lower left wisdom tooth has a cavity. I suggest pulling it. 스미스씨, 당신의 x-ray를 검사해 봤습니다. 하악 좌측 사랑니에 충치가 있습니다. 그 치아를 발치하는 것이 좋겠습니다.
환 자 : Really? Is it that serious? 정말이요? 심각합니까?
치과의사 : Yes. It can lead to more serious problems in the future. But don"t worry. You"ll be fine after I pull it. 네, 나중에 더 큰 문제를 일으킬 수 있습니다. 그러나 걱정 마세요. 발치를 하면 좋아질 것입니다.
환 자 : I hope so. 그렇게 되길 빕니다.
치과의사 : Have you had any serious illnesses or operations? 심한 질병을 앓았거나 수술을 받아 본 적이 있습니까?
환 자 : No. 아니오.
치과의사 : Do you have any diseases or problems, such as diabetes, hypertension, heart or liver problems? 당뇨병, 고혈압 또는 심장이나 간장 질환 등 어떤 질병이나 문제가 있습니까?
환 자 : No. Every year I"ve had a routine check-up and there are no problems with my health. 아니오. 매년 건강검진을 받고 있는데 건강에는 아무런 문제가 없습니다.
치과의사 : All right, Mr. Smith. Nurse, would you schedule an appointment for him? 좋습니다. 스미스씨. 간호사, 예약을 해주시겠습니까?
