The FDA warned on May 8 about certain side effects of cancer drug Tarceva (erlotinib), including blistering skin with toxic drug reactions and gastro-intestinal perforation, of which some cases were fatal. The drug has been approved to treat lung and pancreatic cancer and is sold by Genentech.
