Korean health authorities confirmed two more novel coronavirus patients Wednesday.

The Korea Centers for Control and Prevention (KCDC) confirmed the two additional cases, bringing up the tally to 18 patients.

He later found out that a novel coronavirus patient had attended the same conference in Singapore and admitted himself into a designated treatment facility in Korea.

The treatment facility ran the appropriate tests and confirmed him to be positive for the novel coronavirus on the same day.

The 18th patient is a 21-year old Korean female who is the daughter of the 16th patient. The 16th patient is a 42-year old Korean woman who had been infected after having traveling in Thailand.

Both patients were confirmed in Gwangju Metropolitan City, the sixth-largest city in South Korea.
